Demo Day is an annual pitch competition that invests over $1 million into Detroit-based, early-stage companies with an ambition to scale. The goal is to showcase, inspire, and invest in the Detroit entrepreneurial community, and to elevate Detroit as a destination for small businesses and high growth startups by deploying capital and supportive resources. 
This rebrand concept centered around typography, combining different fonts to reflect the variety of companies that compete. We chose a color palette that felt bold and vibrant, and used layered stickers to break the grid and add some energy. Depending on their “weight class” entrepreneurs have the opportunity to apply for the Start, Grow, or Scale categories of the competition, so we used them as copy inspiration for collateral.
